The next best thing to being there

With a series of virtual walking tours, the team behind Rivea gives prospective buyers an immersive way to experience the delights of Gold Coast living.

Location is the big drawcard for Rivea, a new Gold Coast apartment building on the Nerang River within minutes’ walk of the beach. The immediate neighbourhood is full of amenities and attractions, both natural and urban, with Surfers Paradise and the wider Gold Coast just a short trip away. And you don’t just have to read about it: the team behind Rivea has created a series of 5–10 minute virtual tours that let you experience what it’s like to live in the area every day.

Your daily stroll to the beach

The essential starting point is the “Frederick Street Walk”, which takes viewers from just outside Rivea to the Gold Coast beach, only 250 metres away. You’ll hear the sound of wind and surf as pins and markers highlight local attractions and handy facts about the area. Then see surfers carrying their boards towards the waves on the spectacular beachfront, where skyscrapers rise behind the foreshore and the ocean stretches to the horizon.

    The heart of Surfers Paradise

Next, check out “The Iconic Beachfront”, highlighting what makes Surfers Paradise a beloved tourist destination. This walk takes in the beach itself, an outdoor market on the foreshore with more than 100 stalls, and the lively atmosphere around Cavill Avenue, which is packed with restaurants and shops. This area can be reached by G:link light rail by taking a trip from Northcliffe Station, four minutes’ walk from Rivea. Otherwise, it’s just eight minutes’ drive.

    Nature and culture

Cap off your virtual tour at a relaxing pace with “The Cultural Precinct”, taking you through parkland around the HOTA (Home of the Arts) Gallery, which includes a concert amphitheatre, Evandale Lake, and a ferry stop on the Nerang River for a service that runs to the SeaWorld theme park.

Make sure you keep checking in at the Rivea website, as there’s further virtual tours to come: the “Esplanade Bike Ride”, “Nerang River Boat Trip”, and “Night Rickshaw Ride”.

    Take it offline
